宋思淨。姓喻氏。錢塘人。自號淨土子。早侍瑛法師。講法華。後專念佛。暇則畫佛像。凡畫必於淨室寂想。見彌陀光明乃下筆。紹興丁巳歲。端坐七日。一心念佛。漠然化去。

Sijing of the Song bore the surname Yu, and was a native of Qiantang. He called himself the Son of the Pure Land. Early on, he attended Dharma Master Ying and lectured on the Lotus Sūtra. Later, he concentrated solely on buddhamanasikāra. In his leisure, he painted Buddha images. Whenever he painted, he would sit in quiet reflection in a clean room, applying his brush only when he saw the radiance of Amitābha. In the dingsi year of the Shaoxing reign, he sat upright for seven days, single-mindedly practicing buddhamanasikāra, and passed away serenely.
