Abbot Zhi of the Yuan, courtesy name Biezong, was a native of Hangzhou. His moral discipline was exceptionally strict. He founded a contemplation chamber south of Mount Long, cultivating the buddhānusmṛti-samādhi. Even when fleeing and banished by war, he did not abandon it for a moment. As his end approached, he fell ill without sickness, bathed, sat upright, and passed away. Dharma Master Ren of Zhiyun's Collection of Conduct and Deeds records this in great detail.
