1.51

齊僧柔。學方等諸經。惟以淨業為懷。卒之日見化佛千數。室內外俱聞異香。西向敬禮而化。

Sengrou of the Qi dynasty studied the various Vaipulya sūtras, cherishing only pure karma in his mind. On the day of his death, he saw nirmāṇabuddhas numbering in the thousands; both inside and outside his room, an extraordinary fragrance was smelled. Turning westward, he bowed respectfully and passed away.
