隋智舜。入廬山踵遠師淨業。大業初。講觀經畢。即示疾。見鸚鵡孔雀。念佛法僧。出微妙音。告弟子曰。我今日往生矣。安然而逝。

Zhishun of the Sui dynasty went to Mount Lu, following in Master Yuan's pure karma. At the beginning of the Daye era, after concluding an exposition on the Contemplation Sūtra, he showed illness. He saw parrots and peacocks uttering exquisite sounds that proclaimed the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. He said to his disciples, "Today I attain rebirth," and peacefully passed away.
