隋宋滿。常州人。計荳念佛。積三十石。開皇八年九月。飯僧畢坐逝。人見天華異香滿乘空西去。

Song Man of the Sui dynasty was a native of Changzhou. He counted beans to perform buddhamanasikāra, accumulating thirty dàn. In the ninth month of the eighth year of the Kaihuang reign, having finished serving a meal to the monks, he passed away sitting upright. People saw heavenly flowers and extraordinary fragrance as Man mounted the empty air and went toward the west.
