唐汾陽老人。於法忍山。借一空房止宿。晝夜念佛。貞觀五年。命終時。太光遍照。面西而逝。人見乘蓮臺去。
The Old Man of Fenyang of the Tang dynasty borrowed an empty room on Mount Faren to dwell, practicing buddhamanasikāra day and night. In the fifth year of the Zhenguan reign, when his life came to an end, a great light illuminated all around. Facing west, he passed away. People saw him depart riding on a lotus pedestal.
