宋黃氏。四明人。早喪夫。因歸父舍。精修淨業。臨終見佛來迎。結印徐行。儼然立化。家人篩灰於地。以驗生處。見蓮花一朵生灰中。

In the Song dynasty, Lady Huang was a person of Siming. Having lost her husband early, she returned to her father's home and diligently cultivated pure karma. When her end approached, she saw the Buddha coming to welcome her; forming a mudrā, she walked slowly forward and passed away majestically standing up. Her family sifted ashes on the ground to test her place of rebirth and saw a single lotus flower growing out of the ashes.
