宋周氏妙聰。周元卿之女也。因感其母華臺往生之瑞。篤志念佛。期生安養。病中請僧行懺。自見其身。著新淨衣。在樓閣上。作禮念佛。謂家人曰。勤修淨業。西方相待。右脅西向而逝。

In the Song dynasty, Lady Zhou, Miaocong, was the daughter of Zhou Yuanqing. Moved by the auspicious sign of her mother's rebirth on a flower terrace, she practiced buddhamanasikāra with fervent determination, aspiring for rebirth in Peaceful Nourishment. During her illness, she invited monks to conduct repentance rites. She saw her own body wearing fresh, clean clothes on an upper pavilion, bowing and practicing buddhamanasikāra. She told her family, "Diligently cultivate pure karma; I will await you in the Western Direction." Resting on her right side facing west, she passed away.
