Old Woman Huang of Mount Chao in the Song dynasty maintained the Vajracchedikā and the Saddharmapuṇḍarīka, and focused her mind single-mindedly on buddhamanasikāra. She suddenly contracted dysentery, and drank only water without eating food. Shanxiu, a monk from a neighbouring hermitage, dreamed that the old woman came and told him, "I am about to depart for the Western Direction." Two days later, facing west, the old woman practiced buddhamanasikāra, sat upright, and transformed. People far and near all saw a rosy cloud covering her house.
