宋吳氏縣君。齋戒清修。有侍女亦精進念佛。忽見金蓮捧足者三。數日見膝。又數日見身。又數日見其面目。中乃阿彌陀佛。左右則觀音勢至也。又悉見堂殿國界。皎如指掌。如是三載。常儼然在目。後忽感疾。自言往生乃終。

The County Mistress of the Wu clan in the Song dynasty purified her cultivation with fasting and precepts. She had a maidservant who was also vigorous in buddhamanasikāra. The maidservant suddenly saw golden lotuses upholding her feet three times; several days later she saw knees; after another several days she saw a torso; and after another several days she saw the face and eyes, with Amitābha in the center, and Avalokiteśvara and Mahāsthāmaprāpta to the left and right. Furthermore, she clearly saw halls, palaces, and buddha-lands, bright as the palm of her hand. For three years, this was constantly vivid before her eyes. Later she suddenly took ill, stated of her own accord that she was attaining rebirth, and passed away.
