宋𭨚定國。號省齋。為州學諭。常念佛讀淨土諸經。每月三八。集僧俗諷經念佛。嘉定四年。夢青衣童告曰。佛令召君。三日當生彼國。至日沐浴更衣。念佛坐化。

Pu Dingguo of the Song dynasty went by the sobriquet Xingzhai and served as a prefectural school instructor. He constantly practiced buddhamanasikāra and read the various Pure Land sūtras. On the third and eighth days of each month, he gathered monastics and laity to chant sūtras and practice buddhamanasikāra. In the fourth year of the Jiading era, he dreamed that a youth clad in blue told him: "The Buddha bids me summon you; in three days you shall be born in that land." When the day arrived, he bathed, changed his clothes, and passed away seated in buddhamanasikāra.
