宋魏世子。父子三人。俱修西方。惟妻不修。女年十四死。七日更生啟母云。兒見西方七寶池上。父兄三人已有蓮花。沒當生彼。母獨無。是以暫歸相報。幸母留意。母感女言。頓發信心。念佛不倦。後命終亦生安養云。

The Heir Apparent of the Song was of the Wei clan. Father and two sons, three men in all, cultivated toward the Western Direction, but the wife alone did not cultivate. Their daughter died at the age of fourteen. Seven days later she returned to life and reported to her mother, “I saw in the Western Direction, upon the pond of seven jewels, lotus blossoms already awaiting my father and two brothers, who upon their death will certainly be born there. You alone, mother, have none. For this reason, I returned temporarily to inform you, hoping you will pay heed.” Touched by her daughter's words, the mother suddenly gave rise to faith, practicing buddhamanasikāra tirelessly. Later when her life ended, she too was reborn in Peaceful Nourishment.
