觀無量壽佛經云。爾時韋提希。號泣白佛言。世尊願為我。廣說無憂惱處。我當往生。不樂閻浮濁惡世也。於是世尊放眉間光。遍照十方世界。諸佛國土皆於中現。時韋提希見已向佛言。是諸佛土雖復清淨皆有光明。我今惟願生於極樂世界阿彌陀佛所。

The Amitāyurdhyāna Sūtra says: At that time, Vaidehī wept aloud and said to the Buddha: 'Bhagavat, please describe for me in detail a place free from sorrow and distress; I wish to be reborn there, having no joy in this defiled and evil world of Jambudvīpa.' Thereupon the Bhagavat emitted light from between his eyebrows, illuminating the worlds of the ten directions everywhere, and the Buddha-lands all appeared within it. When Vaidehī saw them, she said to the Buddha: 'Although these Buddha-lands are pure and all possess radiance, I now wish only to be born in the Sukhāvatī world system, where Amitābha Buddha resides.'
