3.64

宋李子清。久患瘧。龍舒居士。教以臨發之時。專志念佛。然後服藥。子清信而行之。當日減半。次日復念。遂全愈自是篤信念佛。

Li Ziqing of the Song dynasty suffered from malaria for a long time. Layman Longshu instructed him that when the fever was about to onset, he should focus his mind on reciting the Buddha and only then take medicine. Ziqing faithfully practiced this, and that day the illness decreased by half. Reciting again the next day, he completely recovered; from then on, he had deep faith in buddhamanasikāra.
