In the Song dynasty, Lady Sun of Siming was a widow who practiced buddhamanasikāra for thirty years without slacking. One day she had a slight illness, and dreamed of eight monks circumambulating the repentance hall, while she herself wore an unpieced monastic robe and followed the monks. Having awakened, she bathed, put on clean clothes, and invited monks to conduct repentance rites. Before the great assembly, she sat upright reciting sūtras; when she reached the phrase "with one mind undistracted," she formed a mudrā with her left hand and passed away. Far and near, all heard the sound of music in the sky.
