尊者知其意。即度出家復具戒品。乃告之曰。如來大法眼藏今付於汝。汝護念之。乃說偈言。

The Venerable One, knowing his intention, ordained him and conferred the full precepts upon him. He then told him, “The Tathāgata's great treasury of the Dharma eye is now entrusted to you. You must protect and remember it.” He then spoke a verse:
