1.45

爾時金棺從坐而舉高七多羅樹。往反空中化火三昧須臾灰生。得舍利八斛四斗。即穆王五十二年壬申歲二月十五日也。自世尊滅後一千一十七年教至中夏。即後漢永平十年戊辰歲也。

At that time, the golden coffin rose from its resting place to the height of seven tāla trees, moved back and forth in the air, and transformed into the samādhi of fire; in an instant, ashes were produced. They obtained eight hu and four dou of relics. This was on the fifteenth day of the second month in the fifty-second year of King Mu, a renshen year. One thousand and seventeen years after the World-Honoured One's nirvāṇa, the teaching reached China; this was the tenth year of the Yongping era of the Later Han, a wuchen year.
