潞州淥水和尚。僧問。如何是祖師西來意。師云。還見庭前花藥欄麼。僧無語。
Upādhyāya Lùshuǐ of Luzhou. A monk asked, "What is the meaning of the Ancestral Master's coming from the West?" The Master said, "Do you see the flower and herb balustrade in front of the courtyard?" The monk had no words.
