11.36

婺州木陳從朗禪師。僧問。放鶴出籠和雪去時如何。師曰。我道不一色因金剛倒。僧問。既是金剛不壞身。為什麼却倒地。師敲禪床曰。行住坐臥。師將歸寂。有頌曰。

Chan Master Conglang of Muchen in Wuzhou. A monk asked, "When the crane is released from its cage and flies off with the snow, what then?" The Master said, "I say it is not of one colour, because the vajra falls." The monk asked, "Since it is the indestructible vajra body, why does it fall to the ground?" The Master tapped the meditation bench and said, "Walking, standing, sitting, lying down." When the Master was about to enter extinction, he spoke a verse:
