於韶州東平山示滅。年七十七。抱膝而逝。勅諡智通大師妙光之塔。後遷塔于仰山。

He manifested extinction at Mount Dongping in Shaozhou. His age was seventy-seven. He passed away embracing his knees. By imperial order, he was posthumously granted the title Great Master Zhitong, and his stupa was named Miaoguang. Later, the stupa was moved to Mount Yang.
