Upādhyāya of Mount Baogai in Tanzhou. A monk asked: 'In a single-room outflow-free dwelling, who should reside?' The master said: 'Without a name, it does not hang upon the body.' The monk said: 'Is there still a station or not?' The master said: 'It does not dwell.' A monk asked: 'What is Baogai [Precious Canopy]?' The master said: 'It is not obtained from humans or devas.' The monk said: 'What is the person within Baogai?' The master said: 'Not known to the people of the times.' The monk said: 'What about when a Buddha comes?' The master said: 'His path cannot be found.' A monk asked: 'In the urgent moment, why is no person established?' The master said: 'Even returning, one cannot tread upon it.' The monk said: 'At such a time, how is it established?' The master said: 'Not known to the people of the times.' A monk asked: 'When the world is destroyed, where does this go?' The master said: 'A thousand sages cannot find it.' The monk said: 'How do the people of the times take refuge in it?' The master said: 'One must go just like that.' The monk said: 'Is there still a target or not?' The master said: 'It does not set up a standard.'
