17.59

洪州泐潭牟和尚。問如何是學人著力處。師曰。正是著力。問古人卷席意如何。師曰。珍重。便下堂。

Upādhyāya Mou of Letan in Hongzhou. [A monk] asked, "What is the place where a student exerts effort?" The Master said, "Exerting effort is precisely it." [The monk] asked, "What was the ancient's intention in rolling up the mat?" The Master said, "Take care." He then stepped down from the hall.
