師子比丘聞偈欣愜。然未曉將罹何難。尊者乃密示之。言訖。現十八變而歸寂。闍維畢分舍利各欲興塔。尊者復現空中。而說偈曰。
The bhikṣu Siṃha heard the verse and was pleased, but he did not yet understand what kind of disaster he would suffer. The venerable one then secretly showed it to him. Having spoken, he displayed the eighteen transformations and returned to quietude. After the cremation was completed, they divided the relics, each wishing to build a stupa. The venerable one reappeared in the air and spoke a verse:
