安州大安山興古禪師。僧問。亡僧遷化向什麼處去也。師曰。昨夜三更月上峯。問維摩寂默是說不是說。師曰。暗裏石牛兒超然不出戶。

Chan Master Xinggu of Mount Da'an in Anzhou. A monk asked, 'Where has the deceased monk passed away to?' The master said, 'Last night at midnight, the moon climbed the peak.' [The monk] asked, 'Was Vimalakīrti's silence speaking or not speaking?' The master said, 'In the dark, the stone calf transcends and does not step outside the door.'
