24.37

處州報恩守真禪師。僧問。諸官已結人天會。報恩今日事如何。師曰。闍梨到諸方分明舉。問如何是佛法大意。師曰。閃爍烏飛急。奔騰兔走頻。

Chan Master Shouzhen of Bao'en in Chuzhou. A monk asked, "All the officials have gathered the human and heavenly assembly; what about the matter of Bao'en today?" The Master said, "Ācārya, when you reach the various quarters, recount it clearly." [The monk] asked, "What is the great meaning of the Buddha Dharma?" The Master said, "Gleaming, the crow flies swiftly; bounding, the hare runs frequently."
