唐州保壽匡祐禪師。僧問。如何是佛法大意。師曰。近前來近前來。僧近前。師曰。會麼。曰不會。師曰。石火電光已經塵劫。僧問。如何是為人底一句。師曰。開口入耳。僧曰。如何理會。師曰。逢人告人。

Chan Master Kuangyou of Baoshou in Tangzhou. A monk asked, "What is the great meaning of the Buddha Dharma?" The Master said, "Come closer, come closer." The monk stepped forward. The Master said, "Do you understand?" The monk said, "I do not understand." The Master said, "Flint sparks and flashes of lightning have already passed through dust kalpas." The monk asked, "What is the phrase that guides people?" The Master said, "Opening the mouth, it enters the ears." The monk said, "How should one understand it?" The Master said, "Meeting someone, tell someone."
