27.82

有座主念彌陀名號次。小師喚和尚。及迴顧小師不對。如是數四。和尚叱曰。三度四度喚有什麼事。小師曰。和尚幾年喚他。即得某甲才喚便發業（法燈代云。咄叱）。

A lecturer was chanting the name of Amitābha when his novice disciple called out, "Upādhyāya!" When he turned around, the novice disciple made no response. This happened three or four times. The upādhyāya scolded him, saying, "Calling out three or four times, what is the matter?" The novice disciple said, "The upādhyāya has called upon Him for years, and that is fine; but as soon as I call you, you produce affliction!" (Fadeng spoke in his place: "He gave a scolding shout.")
