平旦寅。狂機內有道人身。窮苦已經無量劫。不信常擎如意珍。若捉物入迷津。但有纖豪即是塵。不住舊時無相貌。外求知識也非真。

At early dawn, the hour of yin: / Within the mad faculty is the body of a person of the Way. / Impoverished and suffering through measureless kalpas, / They do not believe they constantly hold the wish-fulfilling jewel. / If you grasp at things, you enter the delusive ford; / Just the slightest hair is already dust. / Not abiding in the formless appearance of former times, / Seeking kalyāṇamitras outside is also not true.
