向上無父孃。向下無男女。獨自一箇身。切須了却去。聞我有此言。人人競來取。對他一句子。不話無言語。

Looking above, there are no parents; / looking below, there are no sons and daughters. / Just this single body alone— / you must definitely resolve it! / Hearing that I speak these words, / everyone competes to grasp them. / Facing them with a single phrase: / no speaking, no words.
