天涯海角參知識。遍咨惠我全提力。師乃呵余退步追。省躬廓爾從茲息。覩諸方垂帶直。善財得處難藏匿。棒頭喝下露幽奇。縱去奪來看殊特。趙州關雪嶺陟。築廅峯前驗虛實。據證靈由闢萬機。橫揮祖刃聞三域。卷舒重重孰可委。休呈識意謾猜揣。衲子攢眉碧眼咦。黃海倒逆崑崙嘴。溈山牛道吾唱。馬師奮迅呈圓相。執水投針作後規。把鏡持幡看先匠。廣陵歌誰繼唱。擬續宮商調難況。石人慍色下鞭撾。木馬奔嘶梵天上。麗水金藍田玉。祝融峯攢湘浪蹙。滿月澄谿松韻清。雲從龍騰好觀矚。

To the ends of the sky and corners of the sea I visited spiritual friends, / Everywhere inquiring for them to bestow upon me the power of total manifestation. / The Master then rebuked me to take a step back and pursue it; / Examining myself, all was vast and clear, and from this it ceased. / Beholding the various quarters giving straightforward guidance, / Sudhana's place of attainment was difficult to conceal. / Beneath the staff and beneath the shout, the profound and wondrous was revealed; / Letting go or snatching away, seen as extraordinarily special. / Passing the Zhàozhōu barrier, climbing the snowy peaks, / In front of Zhù'é Peak, testing the false and the true. / Drawing on realization and spiritual cause, opening ten thousand functioning capacities; / Wielding the ancestral blade horizontally, heard across the three realms. / Unrolling and rolling up layer upon layer—who can be entrusted with it? / Cease presenting discerning concepts to guess in vain. / Patch-robed monks knit their brows, blue-eyed ones exclaim in astonishment; / The Yellow Sea flows backward into the peak of the Kūnlún. / Guīshān's ox, Dàowú's singing, / Master Mǎ's vigorous leap presenting the circular figure. / Holding water and dropping a needle serves as a model for later generations; / Grasping the mirror and holding the banner, look to the former masters. / Who will carry on singing the song of Guǎnglíng? / Intending to continue the gong and shang notes, the melody is hard to match. / The stone man shows an angry face and brings down the whip; / The wooden horse gallops and neighs above the Brahmā Heaven. / Gold from the Lì River, jade from Lántián; / Zhùróng Peak gathers, the waves of the Xiāng River surge. / The full moon over the clear stream, the pines' melody is fresh; / Clouds follow the dragon soaring—how wonderful to behold!
