滿口語無處說。明明向人道不決。急著力勤咬齧。無常到來救不徹。日裏語暗瑳切。快磨古錐淨挑揭。理盡覺自護持。此生事終不說。玄學求他古老吟。禪學須窮心影絕。

A mouthful of speech with nowhere to say it: / Clearly explaining to others does not settle it. / Make urgent effort, bite down diligently; / When impermanence arrives, there will be no rescue. / Words in the daylight, secret cutting and grinding in the dark: / Quickly sharpen the ancient awl to clearly pick and uncover. / When principle is exhausted, awakening naturally protects itself; / The matters of this life will ultimately not be discussed. / For the study of the mysterious, seek the chants of those ancient elders; / In Chan study, you must exhaust the mind until reflections are severed.
