師。曰未審大師以何法誨人。祖曰。吾若言有法與人。即為誑汝。但且隨方解縛假名三昧。聽吾偈曰。

The Master said: "May I ask what Dharma the Great Master uses to instruct people?" The Patriarch said: "If I were to say that I have a Dharma to give to people, I would be deceiving you. I merely untie bonds according to the situation, provisionally naming it samādhi. Listen to my verse:"
