5.37

因守無常心　佛演有常性
不知方便者　猶春池執礫
我今不施功　佛性而見前
非師相授與　我亦無所得

"Because of guarding the impermanent mind, / The Buddha expounded the permanent nature.
Those who do not know skillful means / Are like [children] grasping gravel in a spring pond.
Now, without applying effort, / The Buddha-nature appears before me.
It was not conferred by the teacher, / Nor did I attain anything."
