5.56

初雖立志修道善識軌儀。若三業憍奢妄心擾動。何能得定。故次第二明戒憍奢意也。

Although one may initially establish the resolve to cultivate the Way and know the proper deportment well, if the three modes of karma are arrogant and extravagant, and deluded thoughts agitate the mind, how can one attain samādhi? Therefore, the second clarifies the admonition against an arrogant and extravagant mind.
