5.60

已檢責身口令麁過不生。次須入門修道漸次不出定慧。五種起心。六種料簡。故次第四明奢摩他頌也。

Having already scrutinized body and speech so that coarse faults do not arise, one must next enter the gate to cultivate the Way; its gradations do not go beyond samādhi and wisdom, the five ways of giving rise to mind, and the six discriminations. Therefore, the fourth clarifies the verses on śamatha.
