5.64

偏修於定定久則沈。偏學於慧慧多心動。故次第六明優畢叉頌。等於定慧令不沈動。使定慧均等捨於二邊。

If one leans solely toward cultivating samādhi, then prolonged samādhi leads to sinking; if one leans solely toward studying wisdom, then excessive wisdom agitates the mind. Therefore, the sixth clarifies the verses on upekṣā, equalizing samādhi and wisdom so that they neither sink nor become agitated, making samādhi and wisdom balanced and abandoning the two extremes.
