The third, speaking of its correspondence: When the mind corresponds with emptiness, then what sorrow or joy is there in slander or praise? When the body corresponds with emptiness, then what suffering or pleasure is there in being cut with a knife or anointed with fragrant oil? When circumstantial retribution corresponds with emptiness, then what gain or loss is there in giving or robbery? When the mind corresponds with the empty-and-not-empty, then views of attachment are completely forgotten, and loving-kindness and compassion universally rescue. When the body corresponds with the empty-and-not-empty, then internally it is like withered wood, while externally displaying majestic deportment. When circumstantial retribution corresponds with the empty-and-not-empty, then greedy seeking is permanently severed, and material wealth is given in aid. When the mind corresponds with the neither-empty-nor-not-empty, the true mark is first clarified and the knowledge and vision of the Buddhas are opened. When the body corresponds with the neither-empty-nor-not-empty, one enters correct reception within a single particle of dust, and samādhi arises from all dust particles. When circumstantial retribution corresponds with the neither-empty-nor-not-empty, fragrant terraces and jeweled pavilions adorn the land and transform living beings.
