第七明其是非者。心不是有。心不是無。心不非有。心不非無。是有是無即墮是。非有非無即墮非。如是只是是非之非。未是非是非非之是。今以雙非破兩是。是破非是猶是非。又以雙非破兩非。非破非非即是是。如是只是非是非非之是。未是不非不不非不是不不是。是非之惑綿微難見。神清慮靜細而研之。

The seventh, clarifying its affirmation and negation: The mind is not existent; the mind is not non-existent. The mind is not non-existent; the mind is not non-non-existent. Being existent or being non-existent falls into affirmation. Neither existent nor non-existent falls into negation. Being like this is merely the negation of affirmation and negation; it is not yet the affirmation of neither affirmation nor negation. Now using double negation to demolish the two affirmations: when affirmation is demolished, the non-affirmation is still negation. Again using double negation to demolish the two negations: when negation is demolished, the non-negation is precisely affirmation. Being like this is merely the affirmation of neither affirmation nor negation; it is not yet neither negation nor non-negation, neither affirmation nor non-affirmation. The confusion of affirmation and negation is subtle and difficult to see. With clear spirit and quiet contemplation, investigate it minutely.
