The Dīrghāgama Sūtra says: When the human lifespan was sixty thousand years, this Buddha appeared in the world. His caste was Kṣatriya; his family name was Kauṇḍinya. His father was Supratīta; his mother was Yaśovatī. He resided in the city of Anupama. Sitting beneath a sāla tree, he expounded the Dharma in two assemblies, delivering one hundred and thirty thousand people. He had two foremost disciples endowed with supernormal powers: one named Soṇa and the second named Uttara. His attendant was Upasanta; his son was Suprabuddha.
