20.91

Upādhyāya Longxi of Shan Prefecture ascended the hall and addressed the assembly, saying: "Even if you could speak of it as a seamless stūpa, you would still not escape this old monk driving in a stake. How will you avoid having a stake driven in?" The assembly made no reply. The master answered on their behalf, saying: "Step down!" A monk asked: "What is the seamless stūpa?" The master said: "Adorned with the hundred treasures, it is now completed; its four gates wide open, long since indeed."
