The Master said, "Sitting and sleeping with eyes open."

The Master said, "Exactly so."

The Master said, "Upon the long contiguous platforms."

[The monk] asked, "What is the patch-robed monk's correct Dharma eye?"
The Master said, "Non-discrimination."
[The monk] asked, "What about the function of illumination and action?"
The Master said, "A traveler slips and stumbles."
[The monk] asked, "How is it when all myriad functions have vanished without a trace, only then recognizing the original person?"
The Master said, "The pure function reveals itself."
[The monk] said, "If so, then it is not someone else."
The Master said, "Only then does one see the original person."
[The monk] asked, "How is it when a fish swims on dry land?"
The Master said, "Speaking words must be followed by rescue."
The monk said, "How is it when it returns down into the clear green pool?"
