Inner views and outer views are entirely bad; / the Buddha's way and the demon's way are both wrong. / Beset by these two great Pāpīyāns, / one immediately loathes suffering and seeks pleasure. / In birth and death, awaken to the fundamental emptiness of the substance; / where then can Buddha and demon find a resting place? / Merely through the discrimination of deluded sentiments, / former lives and future lives are forlorn and meager. / Transmigrating through the six paths without stopping, / binding karma cannot be eliminated. / The reason one drifts in birth and death / is entirely because of recklessly concocting schemes. / The body is fundamentally void and unreal; / returning to the root, who is there to ponder it? / Existence and non-existence I can manage on my own; / there is no need for the deluded mind to calculate. / Sentient beings' bodies are identical with empty space; / where can defilements find a place to settle? / If only there is no seeking whatsoever, / defilements will naturally melt away.
