Upādhyāya Wujiu. There were two sthaviras, Xuan and Shao, who came from Jiangxi to visit the Master. The Master then asked, "From where did you two venerable dhyāna masters set out?" The monk said, "Jiangxi." The Master struck him with his staff. Xuan said, "I have long known the Upādhyāya possesses this crucial dynamic." The Master said, "Since you do not understand, let the monk behind you answer!" As the monk behind was about to step forward, the Master immediately struck him and said, "Indeed I know that belonging to the same nest, there is no different earth. Go to the hall!"
