東京褒親慈濟祥禪師（祥亦作翔）上堂曰。梅花新綻柳眼初開。雪散長空風恬浪靜。文殊性海普賢行門。直下分明更無餘事。良久曰。莫錯認。

Chan Master Ciji Xiang of Baoqin in the Eastern Capital (Xiang is also written Xiang) ascended the hall and said, "Plum blossoms have newly burst open; willow buds have just uncurled. Snow scatters across the vast sky; the wind is calm, the waves are quiet. Mañjuśrī's ocean of nature, Samantabhadra's gate of practice—directly right here it is clear and distinct, with nothing else besides." After a long pause, he said, "Do not mistake it!"
