蘇州翠峯慧顒禪師。僧問。師唱誰家曲宗風嗣阿誰。師曰。門開東嶺上。僧云。恁麼則五祖嫡子也。師曰。猿嘯老松枝。

Chan Master Huiyong of Cuifeng in Suzhou. A monk asked, "Whose tune does the Master sing? Whose house style do you inherit?" The Master said, "The gate opens upon the Eastern Ridge." The monk said, "In that case, you are the true son of the Fifth Patriarch." The Master said, "An ape howls on an old pine branch."
