果州清居山浩昇禪師。僧問。師唱誰家曲。宗風嗣阿誰。師曰。金雞啼石戶。得意逐波清。曰未審是誰之子。師曰。謝汝就門罵詈。

Chan Master Haosheng of Mount Qingju in Guozhou. A monk asked: 'Whose tune does the Master sing? Whose lineage style do you inherit?' The Master said: 'A golden cock crows at the stone gate; having gained the meaning, follow the clear ripples.' The monk said: 'I do not yet know whose son this is.' The Master said: 'Thank you for coming straight to my door to curse me.'
