東京褒親旌德寺諭禪師上堂。新羅打鼓大宋上堂。庭前柏子問話。燈籠露柱著忙。香臺拄杖起作舞。臥病維摩猶在床。這老漢我也識得。爾病休訝郎當。咄。

Chan Master Yu of Baoqin Jingde Temple in the Eastern Capital ascended the hall: 'In Silla the drum is beaten; in the Great Song they ascend the hall. The cypress tree in front of the courtyard asks a question; the lantern and the exposed pillar are flustered. On the incense altar, the staff rises and dances; lying ill, Vimalakīrti is still in bed. I know this old fellow as well; do not wonder at your illness being undisciplined. Bah!'
