潭州大溈海評禪師上堂曰。燈籠上作舞。露柱裏藏身。深妙神惡發。崑崙奴生嗔。喝一喝曰。一句合頭語萬劫墮迷津。

Chan Master Dawei Haiping of Tanzhou ascended the hall and said, "Dancing on top of a lantern; hiding the body within an exposed pillar. The profound and wondrous spirit flies into a rage; the Kunlun slave becomes angry." He gave a shout and said, "A single matching word, and for ten thousand kalpas one falls into the ford of delusion."
