是什麼熱大。 投筆而逝。 俗壽七十五。 坐五十八夏。 諸弟子以師全身葬於庵之後。 賜塔名寶光。 僧俗從師得法悟徹者。 不啻數十人。 皆有名于世。 鼎需思嶽彌光悟本守淨道謙遵璞祖元冲密等九人皆契悟廣大。 先師而歿其餘皆道化一方。 臨濟宗旨益振焉。

What is the big fuss?’ Throwing down the brush, he passed away. His worldly age was seventy-five, and he had sat for fifty-eight summers. His disciples buried his whole body behind the hermitage, and the pagoda was bestowed the name Baoguang. Among monastics and laity who received the Dharma and attained thorough awakening under the Master, there were no fewer than several tens of people, all famous in the world. Dingxu, Siyue, Miguang, Wuben, Shoujing, Daoqian, Zunpu, Zuyuan, Chongmi, and others, nine people in all, had expansive awakenings and realizations; they passed away before the Master, while the rest guided and transformed their own regions. The lineage tenets of Linji flourished even more through them.
