28.47

上曰。靈隱徑山皆大剎。每令臣寮擇人住持。師對。荷陛下不忘靈山付囑。不以形服見棄。林下之人。何以仰報。

The Emperor said, "Lingyin and Jingshan are both great monasteries. I always order the ministers to select people to be abbots." The Master replied, "We are grateful that Your Majesty does not forget the entrustment of Gṛdhrakūṭa and has not discarded us on account of our appearance and clothing. How can people of the forests look up and repay this?"
